10 issues, 10 years, 10 architects celebrate 100 years of Domus

Today Domus will announce its new Guest Editor. Watch the live event

Who will curate Domus after David Chipperfield? Today at 10 am we will announce the name of the Guest Editor 2021 in live streaming.

As part of the 10x10x10 project, today 3 December at 10.00 am, Domus announces the Guest Editor for 2021. Since 2018, with its 100th anniversary approaching, three internationally renowned architects have already taken over the helm of the magazine’s contents.
Each of them has produced ten issues, each with its own sensitivity.

It began with Italian architect and designer Michele De Lucchi, who dedicated his Domus to objects and their meaning. 2019 was the year of MVRDV co-founder Winy Maas who, with his manifesto Everything is urbanism, focused on the future of the city at all scales, “from XXS to XXL”. This year it bears the signature of British architect David Chipperfield, whose investigation of the role of architects and architecture in society unexpectedly found new meaning with the arrival of the global pandemic.

It will now be the turn of another internationally renowned architect to edit the magazine founded by Gio Ponti in 1928, flanked by editorial director Walter Mariotti, bringing Domus closer to its 100th anniversary. The announcement will be streamed live on domusweb.it and on Domus social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram). The first issue of Guest Editor 2021 will be in January, issue no. 1053.
