  Fondata dal collezionista svizzero Thomas W. Bechtler e da Alexander Pertot nel 2014, la collezione comprende gioielli firmati da artisti contemporanei e realizzati in una varietà di materiali. Oggi i creativi sono sempre più impegnati nel sovrapporre i confini tra le discipline del design, della moda e dell’arte. Gems and Ladders offre loro svariate possibilità, tra cui collaborare con esperti gioiellieri ed esplorare nuovi materiali e metodi di produzione. Per i pezzi in esposizione sono stati invitati anche a riconsiderare l’eredità formale dei gioielli, reinterpretandoli.
