To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, Zara has invited fifty creatives from across disciplines – from architects to filmmakers, photographers to fashion designers – to contribute to a special collection. The lineup includes names such as Norman Foster, Luca Guadagnino, Tim Walker and Marc Newson.

The fifty-piece collection spans clothing, accessories and furniture. “Each is a point of reference in their own field, for imagination, innovation and integrity,” said Marta Ortega, non-executive chair of Inditex, introducing the “fifty friends of Zara.”

Playful touches come through in Kasing Lung’s labubu figure, a “sunset” sleeping bag by David Sims, and a pet carrier by Steven Meisel, the photographer behind some of Zara’s most iconic campaigns. Other highlights include an aviator jacket by David Bailey, a pin-covered hat by stylist Harry Lambert, and a makeup bag by Pat McGrath.

The collection launches on October 6 in selected stores and online, and will be presented in Paris with a special Fashion Week pop-up curated by Sarah Andelman, founder of the cult Parisian concept store Colette. The space will showcase all fifty objects and host conversations with some of the contributors, starting with Marc Newson.
