Hechizoo

Nilufar is pleased to present a collection of exclusive carpets designed by Jorge Lizarazo and weaved by his Colombian atelier Hechizoo.

The pieces are precious creations where metals such as copper, silver, bronze and pewter, nylon, cotton threads, natural fibers obtained from exotic woods like yaré and cumare, seem to be talking in an unusual yet harmonious conversation.

The workshop, located in the popular neighborhood of 20 de Julio, in the depths of Bogotà, is a sort of New York-style loft that holds 28 horizontal and vertical weaving looms created and adjusted to the size of particular demands they receive every day. It also guards the artisan and patient hands of 60 creators who come in every morning with the intention of giving life and form to these complex blends that Jorge Lizarazo has visualized in his mind.
