Designed by Asian firm ADDP Architects, the Avenue South Residences are two new towers, entirely composed of prefabricated units, which will become part of the Singapore skyline, against the backdrop of five historic buildings, four stories each on Silat Avenue, among the historic areas of KTM Rail Coordinator.

Once construction completed, the skyscrapers will become the tallest buildings in the world constructed using the PPVC method, otherwise known as Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction. The units are built off-site, and then delivered to the property where they would be stacked on top of each other, with the associated benefits in terms of both sustainability and cost.

The twin towers, 56 floors high each, are characterized by a simple and linear design. The structural scheme is expressed through the repetition of vertical wooden partitions, and in the shading elements. The sky terraces inserted in the design of the facade of the two skyscrapers serve to break down the staircase of the towers and create a visual connection with nature. These terraces are accessible to residents and offer multi-storey green spaces. “The Avenue South Residences symbolize ADDP Architects’ ability to blend modern futuristic and ecological building with Singapore's heritage,” the designers say. “This live-work-play concept aims to provide a new and innovative residential product while preserving the neighborhood's verdant nature and green spaces.”
