Alla sua nona edizione, l’Architectural Photography Awards ha annunciato la lista dei finalisti, selezionati tra circa 2000 iscrizioni e 42 Paesi. Le fotografie sono state suddivise in sei categorie: Exterior, Interior, Sense of Place, Buildings in Use, Mobile (il cui tema quest’anno è Greening the City), e infine Portfolio (che ha come tema Building with History).
Le foto finaliste dell’Architectural Photography Awards 2021
Sostenuto da Aluprof UK e dal World Architecture Festival (WAF) il premio mette in risalto le competenze necessarie per fare fotografia d’architettura e si concentra sulle abilità e sulla creatività dei fotografi.

Le fotografie, esposte all’inizio di Novembre a Chendu, al WAF China, saranno mostrate al WAF Interactive Digital dal primo al tre Dicembre, quando i delegati dovranno votare. Il 3 dicembre saranno poi annunciati i risultati tre premi: l’Overall, il premio per la categoria Portfolio e quello per la categoria Mobile, con due viciniori per ognuno.
Quest’anno la giuria è composta da Richard Bryant, fotografo d’architettura e membro onorario di FRIBA e della Design Kingston University; Hamish Crooks, Media Licensing e Archive Consultant di Magnum Photos; Laurian Ghinitoiu, vincitore Overall dell’APA 2019; Chloe Grimshaw, rappresentante della Grimshaw Foundation; Katy Harris, socia ed Head of Communications di Foster + Partners; e Marco Iuliano, professore di Architettura alla Liverpool School of Architecture.
