The collaboration between Danish sound luxury brand Bang & Olufsen and Italy’s Antolini is making its public debut at Milan Design Week 2026. The partnership, which started in 2025, is built around the premise that sound and material like stone can be designed together, and yet they rarely are.
The two companies worked on a special installation hosted at the Antolini MilanoDuomo Stoneroom in Piazza Fontana. The event serves as the first public showing of Beosound Haven, B&O's upcoming outdoor speaker. The space frames the product as architecture rather than electronics. Visitors can pass through a threshold separating the city from a curated interior landscape, complete with greenery, a central reflecting water basin, and surfaces clad in Antolini's Taj Mahal quarzite.
"With Beosound Haven, our new outdoor speaker, we explore sound as the language of architecture: the product speaks to materials and helps shape atmosphere, generating a sense of belonging that is at once discreet and powerful”, said Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bjerre, Senior Director of Design of Bang & Olufsen. “This research reflects our ambition to find new ways in which sound can enrich the experience, not only on an auditory level but also on a broader sensory plane, as we look ahead to a product that will be brought to market in the coming months."
The partnership also extends to a limited edition series of the Beolab 18, B&O's iconic floor speaker, reinterpreted in several Antolini stones including Amazonite, Retro Black Petrified Wood, Patagonia Original, Dalmata, Cipollino GreyWave, and Taj Mahal. The materials, say the companies, are not just finishes applied after the product was already conceived. Instead, the stones were selected for chromatic depth, grain, and tactile quality, meant to read as an integral part of the object’s experience.
The Antolini and B&O installation is open by appointment or prior registration during Milan Design Week, from April 20 to 26, at Piazza Fontana in Milan.
