As part of his Master’s course at the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, designer Daniel Svahn has carried out a furniture project focused on recycling, but with a different perspective.

In this case, in fact, we are not talking about the use of a recycled material, but about reusing the components of furniture and objects considered old, before they end up in landfills. From the beginning, Svahn decided to interface with the municipality of Nacka, which at that time was replacing the table tops of a conference room. These 22 mm thick MDF tables were borrowed from the designer, with the promise of creating furniture that could be re-installed later in the municipality.

From here comes the collection The New Goodies but Oldies, made up of three seats of different heights and composition, created by assembling together MDF sheets cut from the available ones. The pieces are finished in white lacquer on the surface, and black on the cut edges.
