A few months ago, it seemed like one of those concepts destined to remain just that. Today, however, Mobi Fold is reality – Logitech has presented a wireless mouse that folds in half like a small wallet – or, for those who remember the 2000s, like a flip phone – transforming one of the most traditional computer accessories into an object designed for mobility. When closed, it measures just 21 mm in thickness, fitting easily even into a pocket, and once opened, it offers an ergonomic grip designed to reduce muscle strain by 22% compared to using a laptop trackpad.
Initially anticipated by WinFuture through the publication of some leaked concept images, Mobi Fold is a wireless mouse designed to accompany those who work on the move. In addition to being light and compact, it can be used by both right-handed and left-handed individuals, aiming to offer a more comfortable experience than the built-in trackpad of portable computers.
From a technical standpoint, it integrates a 4,000 DPI sensor and adaptive touch scrolling that allows users to move the pointer and navigate through documents and web pages smoothly. It utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity with a range of up to 10 meters and features four buttons under the touch surface, plus two programmable buttons.
Compatibility is extended to Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux, allowing it to be used with computers, tablets, and smartphones. The battery guarantees over 30 days of battery life on a single charge, while a one-minute connection to the power supply is enough to get up to 22 hours of use.
Once opened, it measures 33 × 57 × 122 mm and weighs 79 grams. Particular attention has also been dedicated to sustainability. Mobi Fold is made with certified post-consumer recycled plastic and magnets containing 100% post-consumer recycled rare earth elements, while the packaging is produced using FSC-certified paper.
The new mouse is already available at a price of 79.99 euros in Lilac and Graphite colors. Logitech also offers a travel case with a magnetic closure and carrying strap, included as a free gift with purchases during the launch phase or available for purchase separately at a price of 19.99 euros.
