With a privileged view over Barcelona on the slopes of Mount Tibidabo, Villa SV enjoys both the advantages of being close to the city and the privilege of a quiet country houses. The project uses traditional production methods, local resources and materials - stone, tiles, selected and treated solid wood beams and handmade bricks - together with passive energy solutions, to generate an authentic, natural and contemporary domestic space. More than 1,000 square meters distributed on three levels are defined by the undisputed use of exposed brick, designed in four different sizes depending on their positioning, two in the corner, one at the head and one as a filler. The bricks of the load-bearing walls of Villa SV are produced according to the flexibility and hardness required by master craftsmen in a local factory. The construction system made up of load-bearing partitions which are parallel and orthogonal to the longitudinal layout of the Villa, provides large glazed surfaces that open onto the garden and the city.
