The capsule consists of a yellow-and-grey jumpsuit with matching gloves, reinterpreted Diorizon shoes, and a blue-and-grey helmet. Lucy Beeden, Dior men’s design director, said that the project is inspired by the lifestyle of the 1960s through the 1980s.
The items are characterized by Dior Oblique motifs, the CD Diamond initials along with a “Christian Dior Atelier Avenue Montaigne” patch. In addition, the back of the suit and the hood of the De Tomaso Mangusta displayed in large font the number 47. The number is a tribute to 1947, the year in which Christian Dior held his first fashion show.
