The Varese Design Week 2020 is a dialogue on the theme of the labyrinth

From 21 to 24 October comes to Varese the fifth edition of the Varese Design Week, entitled Labyrinth, a theme created with Franco Maria Ricci before his recent death.

From 21 to 24 October, Varese Design Week is now in its fifth edition, which confirms itself as an exclusive opportunity of visibility for the city and the territory that hosts it, as imagined and desired since the beginning in 2016 by its founders. The female team composed of the interior designer Silvana Barbato, the journalist Silvia Giacometti, the architect Laura Sangiorgi and the editor in charge of Living Is Life magazine, Nicoletta Romano, President of Varese Design Week. Varese Design Week has been officially part of the national circuit of Design Weeks for two years now, together with Venice, Matera, Palermo, and Udine. This year’s guests include, among others, Riccardo Blumer, Michael Jakob, Ico Migliore, Marcello Morandini.

The common thread of the 2020 edition, as a tribute to Franco Maria Ricci who passed away on September 10th, will be the labyrinth, a fascinating theme, for its legendary graphic sign and its symbology: the search for a path that leads from chaos to perfection, as in the process of research and development of a design project. “2020 and the Labyrinth, a connection that no one would have ever imagined” the organisers tell us “What for us represented the theme of this new edition, has become a real fact: we all found ourselves facing a labyrinthine path in a transversal challenge for which it is not easy to find the solution.”
