The finalists of Design Parade Toulon 2020

For the next edition of the Festival organized by Villa Noailles, ten young interior design agencies imagine metaphysical domestic spaces whose succession of layers and shielding surfaces seems a common trait of this new generation.

Design Parade Toulon’s fifth edition rewards the emerging talents of the new interior architecture scene by offering a carte blanche to design a domestic space free from any constraint. The press conference has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak but the festival seems confirmed.

Selected by a jury chaired by Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty, founders of Studio KO, the ten finalists, all French – Marc-Antoine Biehler and Amaury Graveleine, Aleja Castellanos and François Leite, Llewelyn Chupin, Guillaume Fabbri and Andrea Techer, Alex Grandidier, Capucine Guhur, Edgar Jayet and Victor Fleury, Clémence Plumelet and Geoffrey Pascal, Anna Talec and Julie Brugier – are inspired by ethereal environments, whose metaphysical atmospheres are built through a succession of osmotic layers that blur the boundaries between outdoors and indoors or between the walls of a room themselves.

Scheduled from 25 to 28 June, the event is twinned since its opening with Design Parade Hyres, a festival that for fifteen years has selected and rewarded young French product designers. In the same days, the opening of Futurissimo. Utopia in Italian Design, exhibition developed in partnership with Centre Pompidou and curated by MarieAnge Brayer, Chief Curator of the museum’s Design and Industrial Prospective Department, is scheduled at the Hôtel des Arts in Toulon.
