Louis Vuitton announced the opening of the Maison Osaka Midosuji in Osaka, Japan. Architects Jun Aoki – who has already designed other stores of the brand, including the one in New York – and Peter Marino have designed the four-storey building inspired by the port nature of the Japanese city, now an increasingly popular international destination. The concept has been translated into the façade through  white sails-like elements and actually inspired by the merchant ship Higaki-Kaisen. The interiors, designed by architect Peter Marino, are also a reference to the city’s maritime tradition. The fashion brand has also made a collaboration with chef Yosuke Suga, offering customers a culinary experience in Louis Vuitton’s first café, Le Cafè V, on the top floor of the store. A secret door leads to a restaurant for a few customers, Sugalabo V, open only in the evening.
