Kind Lago

This year Lago is inspired by kindness. It is presenting eight rooms twinned with famous Italian women, together with new designs from Giulio Iacchetti and Cristina Celestino. #MDW2017

Lago’s novelties for the Furniture Fair all embody the theme of kindness. The decors designed by Giulio Iacchetti, Daniele Lago and Cristina Celestino are paired by Lago with a special installation at the trade fair site, inspired by eight famous Italian women.

Giulio Iacchetti speaks of “contagious kindness” in describing his We Chair in ash wood covered with fabric. Thanks to a powerful magnet system it can be recomposed in virtually endless ways. Cristina Celestino has designed Mezzaestate, a jacquard fabric created by a process of dream inspiration and featuring an amaryllis flower pattern. She also devised the installation for one of the eight rooms in feminine style. The others are dedicated to Carla Fracci, Patrizia Bambi, Camilla Lunelli, Chiara Gamberale, Maurizia Cacciatori and Lella Golfo.

Customization is the watchword of the Pletra Chair by Daniele Lago. Made of lightweight tubular steel, it can be covered with all the company’s fabrics, leathers and eco-leathers. Also by Lago is the geometric Lift chair, with a rounded backrest that easily adjusts to give character to every interior.
