Jasper Morrison: Orla / 71

With an installation inspired by street-art are, Cappellini presents this year many new products, such as the Orla sofa, characterised by a thin shell that holds large comfortable cushions.

The street and street-art are elements behind the idea of “Cap Town”, Cappellini’s installation for the 2014 Furniture Fair whose shapes and colours conjure up the de-structured and irregular architecture of various villages in the southern part of the world.

A group of boxes placed along the edge of the stand describe a concrete yet lively world where Cappellini products are silently yet dynamically placed.

One of these is the Orla sofa by Jasper Morrison (three-seater, two-seater and armchair), featuring a fixed cover for the structure and removable for the cushions, available in a range of fabrics and leathers. This classic yet contemporary element of soft furniture is characterised by a thin shell that holds large comfortable cushions.
