Beeldenstorm is best known as an experimental workshop for artistst and designers who want to work with bronze and other metals. Besides the casting of metal, Beeldenstorm is currently developing new facilities for working with plastics.
Designers and artists are challenged to explore the limits of materials and techniques. The facilities and expert guidance enable designers and artists to experiment with different techniques and thus give the product a unique look.
Beeldenstorm shows how different designers have made use of the possibilities of the workshop. This presentation shows how an unorthodox approach to existing technologies can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
The exhibits on view include work by Nacho Carbonell, Julien Carretero, Max Lipsey, Sayaka Yamamoto, Pascal Smelik, Tristan Cochrane and Christian Fiebig.
