Design firm: MIDE architetti
Project name: 213_Attico Villa Soranzo
Location: Fiesso d'Artico, Riviera del Brenta (VE)
Dimensions: 360 sqm
Villa Soranzo, once owned by a Venetian noble family in the 1500s, still bears the marks of its layered history — something that the attic renovation by MIDE Architetti brings clearly into focus. Fabrizio Michielon and Sergio De Gioia's project stems from a direct dialogue with the building’s original character, with the dark wooden beams, historic plaster finishes and proportions of the rooms becoming the starting point for a new interpretation of these refined spaces. In this context, the introduction of modern design icons serves a purpose beyond mere decoration, helping to create a carefully balanced relationship between historical memory and contemporary language. This gives the home renewed functionality without compromising its identity.
