A sneaker store in Madrid seems to be made of coloured cardboard

For the sports brand Munich, Studio Animal designed a store inspired by circus tents: shoes and accessories are displayed in a multi-faceted and symmetrical space, surmounted by a pyramidal roof.

The feeling is that of being inside a circus tent, but it is actually a sneaker store in Getafe (Madrid), the fourteenth designed by Studio Animal for the sports brand Munich. The retail space Tent aims to create an immersive experience through the use of geometry and colour, a touch of humour and an atmosphere that makes the brand instantly recognisable.

The Madrid shop is symmetrical and multi-faceted, consisting of a dodecagon inscribed in a 10 x 10 m square: the geometric figures are closed at the top by a pyramidal roof, which defines, together with side walls, corners, niches and display cases for products.

In the middle, a volume with 12 faces is designed for the Spanish brand’s new items and at the same time to reflect the pyramid through a mirror.
