The collection by Milanese Studiopepe lands in Los Angeles and launches the Graye’s new space in Holliwood, dedicated to design and lifestyle and considered for years a point of reference for LA’s public. Originally presented at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, the Ossimori collection consists in a limited edition set of mirrors, lamps and sculptures that are distinguished by formal contrasts to discover the spiritual side of each individual object. Their beauty is therefore given by the material’s morphology – marble and chalk – that is opposed to primitive geometric figures in a sort of balanced asymmetry that generates a visual oxymoron.

The research and the dialogue between opposing elements is a recurring theme in the projects of Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, founders of Studiopepe. Through installations, art and design, they develop a visual harmony capable to create iconographic projects that satisfy the needs of a public passionate about collectible design.

Ossimori was presented at the end of January during Graye’s new location opening, in a stage of primary importance in California and will be the first of the international collaborations that the founder and creative director Maria Cicione has in program in this new suggestive frame. The aim is to sensitize and influence the culture of design in Los Angeles through a prestigious selection of furniture producers and emerging designers able to represent the best contemporary design.
