Thunder Perfect Mind: Prada and AMO in Berlin

Curated by AMO, OMA’s think tank, the premiere-exhibition “Thunder perfect Mind” was inaugurated on February 13 with a party held at the Oderberger Strasse swimming pool. The installation presents “Behind the Scenes” documentation of the Thunder Perfect Mind project, by Jordan Scott (co-directed by her the father Ridley), an illustration of Prada’s taste for blending fiction with reality.

Details of the Behind the Scene footage are projected onto the ceiling, generating an animated Sistine Chapel. The film’s nightclub scenes, projected above, reflect the live action of the party underneath and for the neo-Roman arches around the pool AMO created 80 meters of wallpaper fresco that narrates the making of the movie by employing photographs by Brigitte Lacombe. Inside the emptied pool, a set of small intimate screens puncture the side walls, much like aquarium windows, and feature the construction of the ten Berlin film sets of the movie.
