OMSIAD is an association whose objectives are to strengthen the Turkish office furniture industry both nationally and internationally, by increasing the sector’s effectiveness and fostering cooperation in social, economic, cultural, and other fields.
In February 1999, individuals from the office furniture industry sector in Türkiye founded an association called the "Office Furniture Industry and Businessmen Association", abbreviated as OMSIAD. The aim was to support the rapidly growing Turkish office furniture industry—becoming increasingly competitive on a global scale thanks to its quality, technology, and design—worldwide.
The purpose of the Office Furniture Industry and Businessmen Association (OMSIAD) is to ensure solidarity among its members, to protect and develop common goals, as well as economic, social, and cultural rights and interests, taking a leading role in solving the challenges faced by the sector.
In line with its mission, OMSIAD works to find solutions to sector-related problems encountered by its members and contributes to the development of the industry by communicating these issues to the relevant institutions and authorities.
Furthermore, it organizes meetings and training sessions to foster relationships among members, and keeps them informed about developments in the sector within national and international markets. It also participates in national and international fairs, carrying out promotional activities.
OMSIAD provides its members with information on technical, economic, and social developments by promoting coordination among subcontractors that produce materials for the sector. It also collaborates with organizations active in other branches of the office furniture industry.
In addition, it conducts or commissions all types of technological, commercial, and economic research aimed at increasing production efficiency and shares the findings with its members. Finally, it carries out activities such as monitoring sector-related reports and studies and keeping its members informed.
The association’s headquarters is located in Istanbul. It has no branches and does not engage in political activities.
