Panderis is a classic Panda turned electric

Garage Italia unveiled a revised version of the iconic vehicle from the 80s, with sartorial interns by Vitale Barberis Canonico and an audio system powered by JBL. And an electric engine. This is the first of a 5-vehicles collection.

The original Fiat Panda was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who likened it to a pair of jeans, and presented to the press in 1980. The “4x4” variant was launched later, in June 1983. It’s this version that Garage Italia, the company founded by Gianni Agnelli’s nephew Lapo Elkann, reinterpreted in 5 vehicles of its limited Panda series. They are part of the portfolio of Icon-E, a project which gives a new life to iconic classic cars, by equipping them with an electric motor and freshening them up with a new customized design. The last one is Panderis, born with a sartorial touch in synergy with Vitale Barberis Canonico, the Italian woolen mill with over 350 years of history: its fabric was used for the interiors, while JBL provided the audio system with four JBL Club 4020 coaxial loudspeakers and a JBL Basspro SL active subwoofer, custom-fitted into the vehicle cabin.
