In case you didn’t rent a house or tried to rent one during the Milano Design Week, an analysis conducted by Centro Studi Abitare Co. confirms the boom of short rentals during the event, able to attract thousands of visitors from all over the world, with an important economic impact, both for the city and for all the hinterland.

This year, short-term rentals in the areas mainly affected by the event saw an increase in average prices of +16% compared to 2022 and the absorption level reached 87% of the total offer. The average weekly rent is almost quadrupled, compared to the price of any other week of the year, from €989 to €3,770 (+245%), with peaks in the areas of Porta Romana (+337%) and Brera district (+314%).

For a furnished two-rooms apartment the average cost for the whole week exceeds €3,700, with peaks close to €7,000 in some streets of Brera.
