The riverfront of the Siberian city of Divnogorsk has been redesigned by the practice OOO ADM. The project is a variation on the ADM structural system – Architecture Design Modelling – consisting of wooden elements and metal joints. This system has been conceived by the Russian studio and it is suitable for the construction of several types of structures: from the simple post-and-beam, to shell and spatial structures.

OOO ADM’s project seeks to create a dialogue with the landscape on the Yenisei River, where the canopy and amphitheatre are the devices that enact this relation between the user and the surroundings. The design of these two complementary structures overlooking the West Sayan mountains and its pine forests, purposely contrasts with the existing concrete embankment built in the 1970s. This operation highlights a shift in the relationship with nature, from the spirit of conquest towards it to the dialogue.
