Young Talent Architecture Award promotes high quality work amongst graduation projects and strives to draw the academic and professional realms closer together.

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe announced in Venice, within the frame of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, the three winners of the Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) 2016. The award is based on graduation projects and strives to draw the academic and professional realms closer together. Most of these projects will not be built, but they nevertheless require all the skills that the students have learned during their training: arts, history, aesthetics, technology, sciences, etc. YTAA is therefore based on results in these disciplines.

Strategic development plan for the frontier territories, by Policarpodel Canto Baquera, addresses the topic of cohabitation and how borders (both political and geographical) can be transformed in order to make this cohabitationpossible.

The YTAA 2016 Jury was formed by the following members: Jose Luis Vallejo, principle at Ecosistema Urbano; Inge Beckel, editor at the Swiss-Architects.com eMagazine; Michał Duda, curator at Museum of Architecture, Wroclaw; Juulia Kauste, director at Museum of Finnish Architecture; Triin Ojari, director at Museum of Estonian Architecture.
