Silicone Lamps

Russian design duo Anna Strupinskaya & Alexey Ivashkevich have presented during Milan Design Week Lampslamp and Symphony, two lamps made out of silicone.

Silicon Lamps
The Lampslamp is made with the use of burned-out halogen lamps that provide brilliant light effect through a translucent layer of violet silicone.
The 3D pattern of the pendant declares that a very simple and familiar object can reveal its exceptional and dramatic beauty when put in a peculiar way.

The concept of the other lamp – Symphony – explores the connection between light and sound waves and their resemblance. Light, color and sound are visualized in 3 interlaced spatial ribbons. The ribbons of translucent silicone imitate rows of tubes that contribute to the perception of the musical instruments theme.

For a new ecology of living

Ada Bursi’s legacy is transformed into an exam project of the two-year Interior Design specialist program at IED Turin, unfolding a narrative on contemporary living, between ecology, spatial flexibility, and social awareness.
