Lazzeroni: Antoniolupi / 73
The new bathroom furnishing collection designed by Roberto Lazzeroni for Antoniolupi incorporates soft forms evocative of the female universe in a declared departure from the rigid, geometric lines the Tuscan company is known for.
“A year ago, Andrea Lupi asked me to come up with a romantic design,” says Roberto Lazzeroni “and I responded to this input with a series of bathroom furnishings featuring the common denominator of a style that explores the memory".
The objects in the collection refer to the past, but not the distant past; the mirrors, for instance, have a clear counterpoint in 1960s’ design. When creating them, the designer interpreted the Tuscan company’s DNA, rereading its history and returning to the 1960s when Cristal Lux, a company belonging to Andrea’s father, Antonio, was specialised in mirror production. Light and with a clear-cut form, the furnishings also reference a female universe of soft lines, warmed by their pairing with wood.
