Pentagon Design has designed Iittala’s renovated Esplanadi flagship store in Helsinki, implementing the new international Iittala shop concept.

Pentagon Design has designed, together with the Iittala Retail team, Iittala’s new Esplanadi flagship store.

The Esplanadi store, renewed during fall 2013, is the first store implementing the new international Iittala shop concept.

With the new home-like shop concept, Iittala communicates the Nordic way of living to the global markets and gives inspiration for home decoration. The new flagship store presents Iittala’s wide range of products in a single place and emphasizes the brand’s design story as well as the expanded interior product line.

In Helsinki, the Esplanadi flagship store, originally designed as a showroom by Kaj Franck in the 1950s, was comprehensively refubrished according to Iittala’s new international flagship store concept to highlight the entire collection, heritage and the expanding interior collection of the brand.

The Iittala store concept has been developed in order to show consumers around the world the possibilities in Iittala’s product portfolio. The retail environment helps consumers make their own choices and own combinations of Iittala products.
