Tetsuo Kondo Architects is an architectural firm based in Tokyo which presented Cloudscape, designed in collaboration with the German office Transsolar | Klima Engineering, at the 12th Biennale in Venice in 2010.
As in the suspended Venetian ramp, this structure is simply suspended from the existing trees in an Estonian forest.

From the architect's project report:
In the elegant woods of Kadriorg, we added a path.
The path is supported by the trees as it floats through a forest that is over 300 years old.
I feel that the appearance of the woods changes slightly when you walk along this path. We are no longer looking up at the trees from the ground but we come closer to the leaves and glide through the branches. It is a piece of architecture that exists for the woods just as the forest exists for architecture. We can not change the form of the forest but we think the different elements in a forest can become one entity in this condition.
I hope that we can experience forest, architecture, and an environment that we do not yet know.
