Located in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, Japan, the Milkbrew Coffee brand café (born from a collaboration between dairy farmers and coffee roasters) is set among traditional buildings covered in white plaster. Studio Case-Real transformed a former warehouse, previously used as a bank, into a flagship store that includes a space for selling milk brew coffee and a laboratory for processing dairy products. Overlooking the neighbourhood’s main street, the building has retained its traditional white facade and inside elements such as the earthen and wooden walls, together with the ceiling structure, have been preserved. The coffee area is located at the entrance, with high counters and displays of artificial marble inspired by the colour of pure milk. In this zone the false ceiling has been removed to give the impression of a large, open environment with original roof beams. Separated by a glass wall, the laboratory: an independent space that remains visible from the coffee spot.
