The new home collection by Dolce&Gabbana has been presented in Venice

In the evocative setting of Scuola Grande della Misericordia, the two Sicilian designers have launched the preview of a furniture collection for the home. A tribute to Italian craftsmanship.

Hand-painted Sicilian ceramics, Murano glass, woven straw and the ever-present animalier velvet: this is the new Dolce&Gabbana home collection, previewed at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice on August 28th.

A collection inspired by the beauty of the “meridione”, but also by the most ancient tradition of local craftsmanship, from North to South. Four iconic themes are proposed by the brand: Leopard, Zebra, Blu Mediterraneo and Carretto, adapted for chairs, vases, lamps, armchairs but also stationery, linen and candelabra.

“Italian beauty is not limited to the genius of the great masters of the Renaissance and Baroque or the immortal words of great poets and writers, but extends to our breathtaking landscapes, our wines and our incomparable dishes.” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana explain. “In the Faraglioni of Capri, in the blue of the Sicilian sea, in the golden beaches of our coasts, just as in the pizza, in the pasta and in the numerous desserts of our cuisine, there is an extraordinary poetry and a taste for the Beautiful and the Well-made that for centuries have given us unique emotions.”

The collaboration with well-known Italian artisans, including Barovier & Toso, Mian, I Dogi, Venini, Barbini, Salviati and Tessiture Bevilacqua, who have provided their expertise, has made it possible to create unique and richly detailed products.
