Design firm: Set Architects
Project name: House with Reflective Furniture
Location: Rome, Italy
Area: 175 sqm
Light bounces from one surface to another in this large Rome apartment designed by Set Architects. The lacquer of the custom-made furniture, the finish of the sliding doors, the steel of the taps and sinks, the mirrors, and even the unmistakable lampshade of the Arco lamp, all trade the sunbeams streaming in through the large windows. This sparks a vibrant dynamism in spaces where volumes and color palettes remain faithful to a certain sobriety. Guiding your steps through the succession of spacious rooms is a continuous white backdrop on the walls and an oak floor that multiplies a custom-designed module across the home's entire footprint. Yet, this minimalist atmosphere is subtly betrayed by original elements that reveal the building's past: ceiling stuccos and wooden doors enriched with stained-glass designs.
