Now in its tenth edition, Tortona Rocks—one of the most important districts of Milan Design Week—aims to honor design and its limitless potential. This year, with the theme “Unframed Design”, the event abandons predefined frameworks to offer visitors a free and authentic experience, where design becomes an open, fluid, and interactive language—a true medium for experimentation in the field of design.
The absence of a specific theme is an opportunity to explore design without constraints, engaging both emerging and established designers. Once again, brand collaborations will play a key role: Iqos and Seletti present “Curious X: Sensorium Piazza”, a project that reinterprets the concept of the Italian piazza through a dialogue between art, technology, and design. This installation promises an immersive environment where the audience becomes an integral part of the artwork.

At Opificio 31, Archiproducts Milano and Studiopepe present “À.RIA. A medium for connection”, a multisensory journey exploring the relationship between light, matter, and perception, featuring over 50 international brands, including Brionvega, Norr11, and Pholc.
Ikea, a key player in Fuorisalone in recent years, returns with a double exhibition at Via Vigevano 18: the world premiere of a new special collection and “Do something. Change everything.”, designed by Midori Hasuike and Emerzon. This exhibition delves into the transformative power of everyday choices, demonstrating how design can create a lasting and positive impact on society.
At Via Savona 35, “Next Place Hotel” embraces the theme of hospitality and its evolution, under the artistic direction of Giulio Cappellini, with Roberto Cuneo and Luca Fois, in collaboration with American designer Cesar Giraldo.

Many projects will also focus on mobility, including Italdesign’s “Quintessenza”, which blends automotive, product design, and advanced technology. Additionally, urban furniture and contemporary outdoor research will take center stage, featuring projects such as Linfa by AG&P greenscape, Studio Habits’ installation for Schindler, and many more.
