Luxe and fun in the latest furnishings by Masquespacio for Houtique

Five velvet, gold and fringed furniture launch a long-term co-partnership between the two companies from Valencia in the name of sensuality.

In the name of “sexy, lux and fun”, the Spanish companies Masquespacio, the studio created in 2010 by Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse, and Houtique, specialized in the contract world, just signed a long-term co-partnership.

To celebrate it, they presented a set of five new products: Mambo armchair, a new version of Arco chair, Wink wall and standing lamps, and the Chachachà pouf. First prototypes’s seventies inspiration merge with the luxury and exotic finish of the art déco by giving decorative furnishings a strong emotional impact. Fringes, velvet, gold paint and warm colors transfer to these sculptural objects a slow, subtle and vibrant sensuality.

Wink, already a classic and hosted at Paris’ Maison Objet Fair in January, is a post-modernist lamp with a metallic structure bathed in 24 carats gold, a glass tulip and a detachable fringe. The fringes recur in Chachachà, a velvet pouf made of four modules by wooden sleepers, each one formed by two fiberboard discs and joined by wooden tufts. Velvet returns in Mambo, a foam-padded armchair with a gold-painted metal base and a pinewood structure, and Arco, a color-customizable tubular chair.

Charm and lure are the main keypoints of a co-partnership that aims, according with Houtique’s founder Andrés Gramage, “to say goodbye to stereotypes and to the conventionalism” through “an uninhibited and a seductive design”.
