On July 12, a performance by Vanessa
Beecroft (VB62) marks the inauguration
of Goca, the new Gallery of
Contemporary Art in Palermo. The
event is being held at the church of
Santa Maria dello Spasimo, where
the Italian-born artist will “direct”
a group of 27 women covered in a
layer of white make-up mixed with
13 plaster sculptures. From July 17
(until the end of August) the sculptures
will be on show at the Galleria
