The Casa Giardino restaurant in Milan was created from a former railway depot

Claudio Larcher signed the temporary restoration of a former railway depot at Scalo Farini, transforming it into a trendy restaurant between memory of the past and contemporary design.

Within the massive urban regeneration project of the former Scalo Farini area, the interior of an abandoned railway depot is (temporarily) given new life thanks to Claudio Larcher's design for a restaurant that pays homage to the spirit of the place and conviviality.

Casa Giardino welcomes visitors as an unexpected oasis of peace along a busy road: a large dehors façade leads into a warm and inviting interior, where the rough character of the industrial building, preserved in the exposed brickwork and wooden finishes, is softened by the internal garden dotted with rich Mediterranean vegetation and by the essential but cozy furnishings.

Next to the restaurant, a playful yet bold bar area marks the distinctly contemporary signature of the project, with its bright colours, mirrors and light effects offering an immersive and captivating "cocoon" to nightlife lovers.
