The French route of the “Camino de Santiago” starts in the town of Saint-Jean Pied de Port and ends in Galicia after passing through the regions of Navarre, La Rioja, Castile and Leon. An itinerary of around 800 km frequented by visotors from all over the world and surrounded, at the entrance to Santiago de Compostela, by Monte do Gozo and the high-speed railway infrastructure. It is on this last part of the route that CreuseCarrasco intervenes, with the construction of a curved pedestrian ramp that takes the place of a steep staircase that was difficult to access. Like a path, the infrastructure follows the slope, allowing views of the city thanks to its slight inclination. The 111-metre long and 2.5-metre wide walkway is characterised by curves and turns, points marking the transition from mountain to urban space, and by the use of concrete, which makes the ramp appear as a soft, bright line in the landscape.
