Mork-Ulnes Architects designed the suite of guest rooms and swimming pool for a private residence named Ridge House in Sonoma, northern Californa, which is located on top of a hill overlooking a pine forest and vineyard. The guest house is a simple concrete structure, consisting of three rooms with separate entrances. The three volumes are slightly shifted to suit the narrow shape of the lot, but joined by a multi-gabled roof. Two of the walls of each module are fully glazed, to completely open the interior to the landscape. Rooms also have a small covered terrace from which to immerse yourself, unfiltered in nature.
