“I propose that we call the Third landscape all those territories subtracted from human action. It is a terrain of refuge for diversity that is otherwise chased away from the spaces dominated by man... The Third landscape is a place of indecision for administrations and for programmed use on the part of society”, with these words Gilles Clément has introduced the concept of the Third landscape.
A chance to look further into the subject, presented in the March issue of Domus with an interview with Alessandra Iadicicco, is offered by the Triennale where on October 12 at 1830h the presentation of his book “Manifesto del Terzo paesaggio” (Quodlibet). Taking part will be Stefano Boeri, Filippo De Pieri and Pierluigi Nicolin.
