Fifteen years after the fall of the Berlin wall, the NAI in Rotterdam takes a look at the major cities of Eastern Europe. Budapest, Kiev, Dresden and Ljubljana are cities caught between the vestiges of a communist heritage, and a desire to look at the future and the influence of capitalism. This exhibition examines the past but also attempts to imagine, through photographs by Jannes Linders, what the near future holds for architecture and public space. E.S.
