The Bathroom as a Ritual: RONAL Bathrooms Redefines Well-Being at Home

At the Salone del Mobile 2026, the company presented a concept that focuses on the quality of private living: a custom-made sauna, corner bathtub, one-piece furniture, and coordinated shower, for a system in which each element converses with the others.

At Salone del Mobile 2026, RONAL Bathrooms unveiled a concept that places the quality of domestic living at its core. A bespoke sauna, a corner bathtub, monobloc furniture and a coordinated shower system come together in an environment where every element is designed to work in harmony.

Today’s bathroom has evolved far beyond its traditional role as a functional space. It has become the part of the home most closely associated with comfort, privacy and personal wellbeing. Building on this shift, RONAL Bathrooms presented Wellness at Home at Salone del Mobile 2026, a residential concept in which interior architecture, material choices and product design are conceived as a cohesive whole rather than a collection of individual pieces.

The standout feature of the installation was NUVOLA, a fully bespoke sauna available in three versions: traditional Finnish, bio-sauna or infrared. Its defining quality lies not only in its performance, but in its flexibility. Each project is tailored to its setting, with customizable dimensions, layouts and wood finishes, including Nordic spruce or hemlock for the exterior and ayous for the interior. The model showcased in Milan featured slim horizontal slats and a fully glazed corner façade, creating an unusual sense of openness and transparency for a residential sauna. Remote-control functionality further reflects a lifestyle increasingly shaped by connected living.

Alongside the sauna, the concept introduced APTO, KAROL’s new monobloc furniture collection. Available with two drawers, either handleless or with integrated handles, and offered in lacquered or melamine finishes, the collection is designed to adapt to a wide range of bathroom layouts, from 60 to 120 centimetres in width. Washbasins in Mineralmarmo or ceramic can be integrated as either inset or countertop solutions. The dark-grey handles selected for the installation echoed the brushed gunmetal finish of the shower profiles, reinforcing a sense of visual continuity throughout the space.

Adding a more sculptural dimension to the project was the ANTIGUA bathtub by GLASS 1989. Designed for corner installation, it is crafted from HardLite, a high-performance solid-surface material that combines durability with ease of maintenance. The bathtub can be finished in any colour from the RONAL Bathrooms palette or specified in any RAL shade. For the Milan presentation, it was showcased in a warm matte oxide red, creating a striking contrast with the natural wood surfaces and soft beige tones that defined the overall setting.

Completing the composition was the SOLINO shower enclosure. Featuring 6 mm profiles available in six colour options—including four new brushed-metal finishes—it was presented in a bespoke configuration with shaped glass panels and an integrated shelf, paired with the AIR shower tray, which can be cut to size and customised in colour. Together, these elements encapsulate the philosophy behind the RONAL Bathrooms concept: products are not simply installed, but tailored to meet the specific requirements of each space.
