The next Domus Talk will explore the relationship between luxury and craftsmanship

On Thursday, 20 November, the Indian artisan furniture brand Diviana will open its showroom for a discussion between architects. The theme is the relationship between craftsmanship and luxury.

The question, debated for a long time, continues to generate different answers among the players in the design world. And yet, although defining what it is remains complex, everyone seems to agree on how it manifests: luxury is a matter of care, detail, and dedication. In this sense, craftsmanship takes on a central role: the skills handed down over time are not only used to produce, but to rethink the relationship between form and meaning. In an accelerated world, craftsmanship reaffirms the value of time, attention, and permanence.

Masters of this vision are the artisans of Diviana, an Indian furniture company that blends ancient knowledge with contemporary needs. On Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 PM, in the Diviana showroom on Via Monte di Pietà 13/1 in Milan, Marco Corti — architect and art director of the brand — will speak with Aurélie Callegari of the Giacomo Moor studio and with Claudio Saverino, co-founder of Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, in a new Domus Talk moderated by Simona Bordone, head of the Domus Archive.

Founded in 2009 by Kapil Chopra, a visionary entrepreneur with profound knowledge of the world of furniture and design, Diviana offers luxury furniture that goes beyond pure aesthetics to convey a sense of refined elegance and emotional depth. Every piece is meticulously designed to inspire, transforming everyday spaces into environments with a unique character — true sanctuaries of contemporary style.

Under Chopra’s leadership, the brand has grown to become a symbol of excellence recognized throughout India. One year ago, it opened its first European flagship store right in Milan, in the heart of the fashion district: a 220-square-meter showroom designed to showcase the new Sublime and Q Collection lines created by Marco Corti.

With a team of over 900 professionals and master artisans, the company completed more than 50 projects in the past year alone, reaching a turnover of around 15 million euros. Today it operates in over 25 Indian cities and collaborates on projects in Asia and the Middle East, pursuing a clear vision: not only to create interiors, but to redefine the way we live space, with a strong focus on international expansion.
