reMarkable has unveiled the Paper Pro Move, a new 7.3-inch colour E-Ink device that condenses the functions of the Paper Pro into a more compact format. Lighter and easier to carry, it is designed to fit in a pocket or small bag while retaining the immersive qualities that define the brand’s digital notepads.
For a long time we have been advocating for a more compact reMarkable, and we are glad to see that the company has now embraced this direction. The newly presented Paper Pro Move is a reduced-scale version of its most advanced model, conceived to fit in a pocket or small bag without losing the immersive qualities that have made this digital notepad a cult object.
In recent years reMarkable has invested heavily in software and services, consolidating handwriting tools, cloud integration and subscription-based functions. The Paper Pro Move shifts the focus back to hardware design, completing the company’s portfolio with a device that makes mobility central.
What remains to be tested is the writing experience. While the reMarkable 2 set a benchmark for its tactile precision, the Paper Pro, despite its impressive display, failed to match the same quality of feel. With the Paper Pro Move, we hope the company has restored that delicate balance between technology and paper-like simplicity that first earned it such a devoted following.
The Paper Pro Move is available from today on remarkable.com at a starting price of 449 dollars, including the Marker.
