Louis Vuitton’s first lounge in an airport has opened in Doha

The space has a tropical vibe and features designer pieces and, of course, the brand's iconic luggage. For the first time, a fashion house is opening a lounge in an airport.

Louis Vuitton has opened above its store in Qatar Duty Free at the Central Concourse of Hamad International Airport, Doha, “Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno”, in collaboration with the French three-star Michelin chef.

The lounge, open 24/7, aims to “calm, nourish or recharge those in transit” and features a contemporary and tropical atmosphere sunk in soft light. Emblematic Louis Vuitton elements – such as stacked trunks – are surrounded by lush greenery with Atelier Oï’s colorful Quetzal bird creations hanging at the ceiling. Seating arrangements are interspersed with Maison’s designer edition pieces including Iranian-French architect India Mahdavi’s low tables, Paola Lenti’s high tables, and Costela armchairs by Martin Eisler. Among the Objets Nomades is the Cosmic Table by Raw Edges and Bell Lamps by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.
