Porsche has teamed up again with artist and designer Daniel Arsham to create the NEBULA 928, a reimagined 1978 Porsche 928 with a futuristic twist and Y2K-inspired aesthetics. The concept is a celebration of the vintage identity of the original car with a modern Porsche twist. The exterior is finished with purple paint, while the interior features complementary shades of purple Ultrasuede and leather and a custom ByBorre woven fabric. The car also sports an aluminum steering wheel and shift knob. The rear bumper has been redesigned to include a glowing LED “Nebula” branding cast in a futuristic typeface. Arsham’s studio logo is also subtly present in the car design, including the light cages and the seats’ stitch graphics. The Nebula 928 is a unique new car identity inspired by the luxury carmaker’s recent design approach. Overall, the car blends Porsche’s past and present in a playful take on Arsham’s time-traveling and retrofuturism themes seen throughout his works and its past Porsche collaborations.
