The Floating Retreat designed by Ardh – founded by Omran Alowais – is a one-of-a-kind facility, offering a luxury camping experience in the mountains of Sharjah, the third largest city in the United Arab Emirates.

The project, developed in partnership with Shurooq, is inspired by cliff camping and aims to make this experience more accessible to the general public. The tents are designed to offer a comfortable and luxurious experience and are equipped with all amenities – including comfortable beds, electricity, and heating.

The project aims to support the local community through tourism, providing a space to connect with the natural beauty of the region and learn about its heritage and its rich culture. The structure is also designed to be adapted to the needs of families, in order to promote environmental awareness of children. It will be open between November and May, so as to avoid the summer heat and always guarantee comfort and safety.
