Bang & Olufsen’s new hi-tech speaker is modular, with a retro look

The new BeoSound Level can fit all interiors and sports a modular design that improves the product’s longevity.

Bang & Olufsen, the Danish luxury audio brand, introduced today BeoSound Level, a new portable wireless home speaker with state of the art features and a signature B&O retro look. Designed by Torsten Valeur and crafted in Struer, Denmark, it features a slim body and a handle to maximize portability around the house. The speaker fits perfectly on a marble countertop, as well as hung on a white wall, or lying flat on a coffee table.

“Beosound Level is the ultimate speaker for people who want the flexibility and convenience of a portable speaker but don’t want to sacrifice on sound quality and multiroom connectivity for the ultimate music listening experience. It works effortlessly with Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2 and Chromecast and because of Beosound Level’s modular design, we are future-proofing Beosound Level so that it can deliver our signature sound for decades to come”, says Christoffer Poulsen, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Management at Bang & Olufsen.

Beosound Level sports 105 watts of power, delivering excellent clarity and dynamic bass thanks to a powerful five-driver speaker setup, with two 4” woofers, one 2” full-range driver, two 0.8” tweeters and low distortion amplifiers.

The new speaker features many interesting design details, including a custom USB-C magnetic charger that’s both stylish and convenient. Most importantly, though, it’s the modular design of its various parts that sets the new BeoSound Level apart from competing products. The main speaker components, such as the battery or the wireless unit, are easily accessible and can be swapped by the users or a repair professional if they break or become outdated. B&O self-declared goal with the BeoSound Level is to offer a product that customers can enjoy and use not merely for years, but for decades to come.

BeoSound Level will be available in B&O stores on February 4th, with a pricetag of 1249 Euro.
