"If three people walk together, my master will surely be among them." Inspired by Confucius, one of the shop windows of La Rinascente in Milan features the work of young Chinese-French artist and designer M.Y Chen Zuer, who lives and works in Shenzhen. "In Red&Black for La Rinascente I combine Chinese tradition with my life experience in France, bringing together Europe and China", she says at the opening of the Chinese New Year celebrations at La Rinascente.

Another window showcases a dog eating the moon, inspired by the myth of Tian Gou, and again a girl intertwined with a dragon, creature of good omen. The eight windows host the symbols of the celebrations, from the little rat to flowers and lanterns, and Zuer's graphics extend to the entire coordinated image inside the department store. Although contained, the celebrations at La Rinascente will last until February 3, with delicate moments where to taste traditional food, interact with Chinese artisans, get to know Chen Zuer and observe live performances of musicians playing the guzheng and the pipe, traditional instruments that we have all heard at least once in our lives.
