According to one of his Instagram posts, Kanye – who for “personal reasons” now calls himself Ye – is collaborating with Muji’s industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to “reimagine McDonald’s packaging”.

It all started when Ye shared on his Instagram Stories a cryptic post of a McDonald’s sandwich in a paper box with the words below: “next week it’s the fries” – taken from a lyric from 2005 “Gold Digger”. This story, in fact, seems to begin much earlier than today, already in 2016, when Ye wrote a poem in rhyme about McDonald's, which saw fries as the absolute protagonists among the other dishes offered on the menu.

In fact, the fries were never seen, and after that first message there were no more updates regarding the redesign.

In February, Ye made a cameo in a Super Bowl McDonald’s commercial. He pulled up to a drive-thru in a Russian Sherp ATV and shades, saying the now-legendary line for his fans: “Can I get uhhhhhhhh”. With today’s post, it seems he may have gotten what he was looking for.
